An on-contact surface modification technology is available for all Tecan stencils to create a robust, abrasion resistant surface that stands up to repeated cleaning.
It can be supplied already applied to the stencil (MicroShield) or in a pouch form (NanoClear) that can be wiped on to the stencil surface on the production line. The advanced chemistry chemically bonds to the surface while forming a hydrophobic/oleophobic nano-layer at the air interface.
Formats
MicroShield is a two-part coating that is applied by Tecan prior to stencil dispatch
NanoClear coating is supplied in a pouch containing both the primer and nanocoating to be applied on the production line. See below for application instructions:
